BCfm is 10 in 2017!

We’ve been described as an integral part of Bristol life! We’re the ONLY community station to win TWO Sony Gold Radio Academy Awards (The Premier League for radio). In March we celebrate a decade on air and we’ll be showcasing our unrivalled passion for all things Bristol through a series of events across many of the city’s venues.

Did you know we receive NO core funding?  So, we’re also using our 10th birthday to raise £10,000 to support our work and build sustainable foundations for the next 10 years. You can help us raise our target at Justgiving.com.

It’s a birthday party that everyone’s invited to!

About BCfm

For 10 years Bristol Community FM has broadcast every conceivable aspect of life in this creative, complex, and colourful city. From our inner-city studios, we deliver an unmatched coverage of local arts, culture, politics, current affairs and sport, whilst not shying away from difficult issues and regularly holding local institutions to account. This quality and scope of programming has seen the station become one of Bristol’s most respected media outlets, often setting the agenda for news and breaking stories, and becoming the recipient of local and national awards. BCfm is here to inform, educate and entertain the people of Bristol, with an ethos of diversity and inclusivity. We’re particularly proud of serving – and involving – those under-represented by the mainstream media, including diverse, hard-to-reach and (sometimes) disadvantaged communities. For them we offer support, companionship and – most importantly – a voice.

BCfm is a registered charity and entirely run by volunteers who, freely giving their time and skills, share a passion for both radio and the city they broadcast to. Charity no.  1123827
