We’re thrilled to share that BCfm has been nominated in three categories at this year’s Community Radio Awards – one of the biggest nights in UK community broadcasting.
Here’s where we’re up for recognition:
News, Journalism & Factual Storytelling of the Year
“We Don’t Do That Here” – a joint entry with Ujima Radio, produced by Marcus Smith and Miranda Rae.
“This nomination means a lot, not just for BCfm but for everyone who trusted us enough to share their story. ‘We Don’t Do That Here’ came out of conversations happening across Bristol that don’t always get airtime, and having that work recognised alongside Ujima Radio is a real honour.” – Executive Producer Marcus Smith
Presenter of the Year – Woman
Siva Gold, recognised for her work on air.
Specialist Music Show of the Year
“Additions To My Collection” – meaning Siva Gold picks up nominations in two categories this year.
“Two nominations in one year still hasn’t sunk in. Presenting is what I love, and getting to dig into music I’m obsessed with on ‘Additions To My Collection’ is a dream, so to be recognised for both feels incredible.” – Presenter Siva Gold

This year’s Community Radio Awards mark 10 years of celebrating the people and stations that make community radio what it is across the UK. Winners will be announced at the national awards ceremony on Saturday 24th October, following the national community radio conference hosted by the UK Community Radio Network.
