Would like to start a career in the sound and audio industry?

If so, this could be for you!

Get involved in the 3rd edition of Unlocking Our Sound Heritage, and learn to research and edit audio recordings with Bristol Community FM (BCfm).

What is Unlocking Our Sound Heritage?

Unlocking Our Sound Heritage (UOSH) is a national project aiming to preserve and provide access to half a million of the nation’s rare and unique sound recordings.

To accomplish this huge task, ten sound preservation centres have been set up across the UK. Each centre will digitise and catalogue sound collections from their region. Bristol Archives is home to the UOSH hub for South West England.

Together with BCfm, UOSH needs help to make these digitised recordings available to the wider public. This is where you come in. Learn how to create a new podcast and radio show by selecting and editing these amazing old recordings.
